Vishnu, a Supreme God of divine origin who bridges heaven and earth. He is one of the three principal denominations and a supreme deity of Hinduism. He is “the Preserver or the Universal Protector” within the Trinity of the divinity.

In sacred texts, Vishnu is usually described as having a complexion of water-filled clouds and having four arms. He is a pale blue being. He holds a lotus flower, the mace, the conch and the discus weapon.

Ganesh(a) is the Lord of Good Fortune symbolizing prosperity, fortune and success.  He is the Lord of Beginnings and The Remover of Obstacles.

Kali is a goddess of death but brings the death of the ego as the illusory self-centered view of reality. She is not about death worship but rather the awareness that the body is a temporary condition. Because it is our attachment to the body that gives rise to the ego. Kali grants liberation by removing the illusion of the ego. Thus we are the eternal “I am” and not the body.

Kali is the most compassionate for of Devi because She provides liberation to Her children. She is the counterpart of Shiva the destroyer. They are the destroyers of unreality. The ego sees Mother Kali and trembles with fear because the ego sees in Her its own eventual demise. A person who is attached to his or her ego will not be receptive to Mother Kali and she will appear in a fearsome form. A mature soul who engages in spiritual practice to remove the illusion of the ego sees Mother Kali as very sweet, affectionate, and overflowing with incomprehensible love for Her children.
